mosaic

a Mosaic is a picture that is made of many smaller photos. in photography class, we are making our own mosaics, by drawing a design on paper, the taking photos of the colors we need. after we get all of our photos printed, we will paste them onto our paper and you will be able to see a larger image. while i was at Sakura-con (super awesome) i saw a mosaic of my favorite manga/anime, Kuroshitsuji (translated to Black Butler in english). it was an image of Ciel Phantomhive and Alois Trancy. it was made of really small photos of people, and all of them were cosplayers! it was so cool! my first thought when i saw it was 'OMEGOSH OMEGOSH OMEGOSH I WANT THAT IMMA BUY IT OH NO IT'S 30 DOLLARS!' and my second thoght was 'hey it's like what we are doing in photography..'.

in photography class, we were learning about the color wheel, and complimenting colors. the color wheel includes colors like yellow, yellow orange, orange, red orange, red, red violet, violet, and blue violet. there is also blue, blue green, green, and yellow green.complimenting colors are colors that look good together, and they are opposite each other on the color wheel. examples are blue and orange, green and red, and violet and yellow. we went outside to find all of the colors on the color wheel. there are many different colors in nature it was pretty fun.
